I currently teach on the BA Journalism but have taught journalism across all the different BA and MA courses since coming to teach at Goldsmiths in 2005.
I studied English Language and Literature at the University of Manchester and Journalism at City University. I am a practising journalist and have written features and comment for most of the national newspapers and for many consumer and business to business magazines and website.
I am particularly interested in helping people to come up with ideas, and my textbook about this, Creativity and Feature Writing: How to get Hundreds of New Ideas Every Day is published by Routledge.
I also specialise in writing about political ideas in an accessible manner, both through my journalism for adults and also, for children, as the author of The Election and We Love the NHS, both aimed at under 8s and published by Fisherton Press, and World Politics in 100 Words published by Quarto.
