Students spend a year of study each in Los Angeles and on the Goldsmiths campus in London and are awarded two degrees on successful completion of the programme - an MFA in Screen Acting from OCU and an MA in Screen Acting from Goldsmiths, University of London.
Oklahoma City University, a private university established in 1904 with 1700+ undergraduate and 600+ postgraduate students, provides a wide variety of degrees in the liberal arts, fine arts, sciences and business. The university offers over 70 undergraduate majors, 20 graduate degrees, and 3 PhD programmes.
OCU have extremely strong links with the theatre industry in the US and UK with over 90% of graduates in active employment on completion of their acting programmes. OCU also have, and are continuing to cultivate, relationships with the film and television industry.
The new dual degree partnership promotes the excellence of performer-training provision and enables students to explore the demands, contexts and cultural meanings of screen acting. The dual degree utilises the UK tradition of studio-based actor training for global application in Goldsmiths, as well as gaining industry-facing hands-on experience in the US.
