Setsuko Kawahara graduated her BA, Post Graduate Diploma and MA in Textiles at Goldsmiths.
Her ongoing practice uses weaving and knitting, from traditional techniques to new technology whilst also creating yarns from several natural fibres. Her research encompasses traditional Japanese techniques and contemporary upcycling manual techniques.
Natasha Eves

Natasha Eves is a textile artist and publican. Her practice uses processes of machine knitting and weaving to explore relations of care, invisible labour, digital hoarding, and popular culture.
She teaches constructed textiles to undergraduates and postgraduates at Goldsmiths, University of London, and runs a traditional, community-oriented pub in South-East London. Natasha is also a PhD candidate at Oxford Brookes, with her thesis provisionally titled "Reviving the Art of Social Assembly: An Aesthetic and Political Investigation into the Role of Artist-led Community Centres, Studios, and Archiving at SET". Crimson Downing-Martin
Constructed textiles tutor
Crimson Downing-Martin began working at Goldsmiths following her graduation from the BA Fine Art with Art History in 2021.
She is concerned with: Capitalism and consequences of its powers; the fashion industry and its psychological impact; clothing and its relationship with the body; the dialectical tensions found in tailoring and how one can treat fabric as an organism when adorning the body. Recently, she has been researching how heritage can contribute to identity and reflecting on how ancestry and birthplace contributes to selfhood: why one desires to showcase, or hide, the culture and geography of one’s belonging. Her skill set is informed by traditional textile techniques, but used in a ‘punk’ manor. Digital collaging also forms her process, using nonchalant photos from her phone and sketches/writings from her journal.
Eli Zafran began his career in print making more then 20 years ago in fine art and print applications.
He began his career in Art education in 2005 working at the Slade and Winchester Collage. He started working at Goldsmiths in 2007. El’s work specifically investigate the relationship between individuals and the man-made landscape in which they are living in. These projects are manifested in different installation and media.
Clare Bryan
Fine art print tutor
Clare Bryan began her creative career over 36 years ago initially in Graphic Design before returning to study Printmaking and Bookbinding.
Her teaching career started 1997 at The Slade and she has gone on to work in various UK colleges. She began working at Goldsmiths in 2016. Her art practice is process led with choice of materials, binding structure, cutting away and the spaces left behind being integral to the work.
Dr Altea Grau Vidal
Fine art print tutor
Dr Altea Grau Vidal joined the Fine art print APA since 2024, after teaching at the Slade School of Fine Art and the University for the Creative Arts and working at the respected printmaking studio Thumbprint Editions.
Altea´s artwork explores the concept of reading, and the notion of the double page spread as a place to develop site-specific practice. Through a deep understanding of the print processes, she develops large scale prints and installations.
Tolga Saygin

Tolga Saygin has 25 years’ of experience based around still image and moving image production.
His education centred around animation, image manipulation and storytelling. He has worked as a freelance video editor for various arts organisations. His current practice involves photography and videography of pop culture subjects presented in a cinematic aesthetic, which is distributed primarily on social media. He began his career at Goldsmiths working in Media and Communications and joined the Art Department in 2000 - His teaching has evolved around the dialogue and interaction with Art students during his time here.

Meg Ferguson has 20 years’ professional experience of working in graphics, photography and web.
She joined Goldsmiths in 2017 after a Fine Art MA at the RCA. Her practice includes photography, digital collage and print.
Sara Graça

Sara Graça is interested in questioning ideas of value, authenticity and poetics working across various media like sculpture, drawing and photography.

James Sibley’s practice focusses on the effects that image production has on memory, under the conditions of contemporary visual culture. He has studied at Goldsmiths and The RA Schools, and has experience in graphics and web design.
David Ferrando Giraut’s practice comprises video, film and sound, looking at the dynamics of image making and consumption, and how they relate to nature, technology and sociopolitical organisation.
Currently, he is interested on how the production processes particular to artists film, in conjunction with digital technologies, can foster alternative forms of cinematic narrative. David completed an MFA at Goldsmiths and was one of the artist filmmakers selected for the Lux Associate Artists Programme. He has over 15 years of experience in production and education of moving image and sound in an art context.

Ian Marshall has worked at Goldsmiths supporting staff and students in many aspects of moving image production since 2016.
Ian has fabricated a variety of mixed media work for a number of prize-winning international artists and art institutions over the years and brings that experience, ebullience and enthusiasm to Goldsmiths. Specialist interests include compositing, rotoscoping and match moving 3D scenes. Their current practice involves drawing pet portraits.
Gwil Hughes

He is interested in using emergent 3D technologies for filmmaking and fabrication. He has 7 years professional experience with 3d software, motion graphics and video editing. Gwil completed the MFA at Goldsmiths in 2020.

Eva Sbaraini is the lead tutor within the 3D Print APA.
She is a tech nerd with an art practice that blends both digital and analogue techniques, and exhibits regularly. Her specialisms are in 3D printing, 3D scanning and the digital sculpting software Zbrush.
Byron Kalomamas is a practicing visual artist working with interactive installations and sculptural mechanisms as well as video and collaborative practices.
He utilises digital fabrication such as 3D printing and CNC machining as means to materialise digital design. At Goldsmiths his focus is on hard-surface 3D modelling while always keen on experimental uses for 3D printing.

Ricardo Matos has worked as an artistic and technical consultant since 2004, collaborating with various artists and designers investigating interdisciplinary methodologies in experimental textile printing and dyeing techniques.
He began his career in art education in 2005 and has workedin the Print and Dye APA since 2013. In his practice, he combines historical and textual narratives to develop a personal lexicon that informs both his research process and his making, working with a range of found and self-produced imagery and text in producing collages, textiles, sculptures and performative objects.

Having trained at the Building Crafts College, Yi specialises in solid timber and hand-joining techniques.
