FOS Project is an initiative with an environmental nature developed by Octavi Serra and Clara Romaní in Barcelona. It is a creative process which uses recycled plastics in order to build unique pieces and develop a new production technique that allows a huge number of formal possibilities. The project arises from a curiosity and eagerness to experiment, to go beyond standardized things and to produce objects from a new perspective. Human beings have always had the need to invent and create objects However, today's overproduction of objects to invigorate consumption has condemned the majority of them to become unsubstantial clones. Fos Project is an opportunity to conceive objects with identity and ecological awareness through the use of one of the most widely used and most difficult to recycle material: the plastic.
SET events are curated by the independent arts producer Sol Polo, with the musical advice of Joan Birulés. Every SET event is documented in a short clip directed by Marc Castañé. Three previous SETs have taken place in Barcelona. http://www.movingsets.com
