Multi-channel live performance with Serge Modular and computer, exploring analogue micro-sounds and architectural resonance.
Following on from Ankersmit's Music Research Series lecture at 5pm, the evening concert features works by current students and staff, including Sherry Ostapovitch's 8-speaker soundscape installation "Elephant Underground", an investigation of community and gentrification in the neighbourhood of Elephant and Castle/Walworth.
With guest performer Thomas Ankersmit.

Ankersmit presents a multi-channel live performance with serge modular and computer, focussing on analogue micro-sounds and architectural resonance.
Thomas Ankersmit (Netherlands, 1979) is a musician and composer based in Berlin and Amsterdam. Since 2006 his main instrument, both live and in the studio, has been the Serge Modular synthesizer. Ankersmit has long-term collaborations with New York minimalist Phill Niblock and Italian composer Valerio Tricoli. His music is released on the Touch and PAN labels.
