Event overview
Reimagining the trumpet marine in a contemporary context: a perspective on methodological dilemmas in practice research
Clare Salaman (PGR, Goldsmiths) will present her research on the trumpet marine: a bowed instrument popular in Europe in the medieval period.
Clare's approach is practice-based, and this session will focus on the challenges and opportunities afforded by this orientation. We will also be discussing practice research in music studies more generally.
