Event overview
Please join us for the final instalment of our regular film and discussion series with 'Faces Places'.
Faces Places is a collaboration between new wave auteur Agnès Varda and street artist JR, known for his iconic photographic installations. Exploring their enthusiasm for the creation and sharing of images, the pair embark on a road trip in a mobile photo booth to explore the towns and villages of rural France. The documentary follows their encounters and conversations with the people they meet, and the creation of arresting large-scale portraits in unlikely locations. This playful and charming film provides a deeply human and affirming insight into the subtle strength of social and community life.
Drinks and snacks will be provided with the generous support of the Goldsmiths SU Academic Communities fund.
