Event overview
With Don Kalb, University of Bergen. Part of Anthropology spring term seminar series
The talk will bring several urgent topics together. First, the issue of anthropology and the capitalist contemporary. Second, what an anthropology of class might look like and how it differs from 'sociological class' and 'economic class'. And lastly, how this can contribute to the 'worldwide' discussion about the rise of illiberalism and authoritarian populism. The discussion will be worldwide but there will be a special place for reflections on post-socialist Europe.
