"Shadow of Cello" an improvisation performance for Cello by Khabat Abas
Following our Lockdown Live show, MMus and BMus Music students perform their final degree shows in the George Wood Theatre and live via YouTube.
This event will start in RHB 167 (please note, only 5 audience members at a time) and will then move to the George Wood Theatre.
In this improvisation Khabat critically reflects on the cello as a material of socio-political discourse and as an artistic practice process to investigate what is beyond the Cello.
In this programme Khabat will improvise on her four experimental Cellos, which have different stories.
1. Knot Cello
2. Skin Cello
3. Shell Cello
4. Tam-Tam Cello
Please note we will be Covid compliant - face coverings will be required (unless exempt) and there will be limited fixed seating in the George Wood Theatre. All (free) tickets are to be ordered in advance and show your e-ticket to the staff member at the door for entry:
