Mimi Khalvati, born in Tehran, has spent much of her life in England and is a cherished member of the poetry community whose remarkable work as a teacher has been as influential as her fine work as a poet. As someone who has spent many years encouraging new voices, it is entirely fitting to hear Mimi read with two thrilling new poets, Ella Duffy and Ali Lewis, publishing for the first time and already making a stir.
