Event overview
Please join us for the book launch of "Transmissions: Critical Tactics for Making & Communicating Research" edited by Kat Jungnickel (published by MIT Press)
What does your research sound like? Do you yell or whisper it? How does it feel to wear it, close to the skin? Can you meter its rhythm? What games does it call for? Do you perform it? How do modes of making and communicating inform your practice, shape your stories and engage your audiences?
These are some of the questions at the heart of this book.
Together we explore the many creative, critical and experimental ways we can show, share and involve others in research.

Each chapter focuses on a different tactic of TRANSMISSION.
In total, the collection features work by 15 interdisciplinary authors who explore what new forms of knowing different kinds of transmission make possible.
Together we critically examine the promises, possibilities and problems of a range of transmissions in research, paying particular attention to the making parts of the invention and dissemination process by exploring in-depth the role of researcher-produced knowledge objects.
