Event overview
An event to celebrate International Human Rights Day and introduce Year 12 and Year 13 students, mature students, parents and teachers to the study of Law.
On international human rights day, listen to our human rights experts Dr Fatima Ahdash and Dr Mai Taha investigate UK law's ability to deliver social justice, taking their examples from race, COVID-19 and the Black Lives Matter Movement.
Meet also Dr Virginie Barral, who will speak about the innovative teaching methods we adopt across an exciting range of modules, as well as the Head of the Department Law, Prof Dimitrios Giannoulopoulos, who will explore how the LLB programme brings together theory and practice, allows you to learn the Law in legal London, and gives you the opportunity to develop expertise in specialist areas such as criminal justice, human rights and the relationship between Law and Politics.
You will also be able to speak to existing students: ask them what makes studying Law at Goldsmiths special; how they learn; the leading legal experts and organisations they're working with in our LLB programmes.
This event is directed at Year 12 and Year 13 students, mature students, parents and teachers, but is also suitable for students who are currently studying law, or who are new to the subject but are considering studying it at university and training to be a solicitor or barrister.
To attend, please register and we will send you a link to the event.
