Event overview
A week of online talks and activities to support and inspire students and alumni in the Department of Computing to plan for their future career.
We are committed to providing access to a range of employer and industry talks for our students. Last year we launched Career Week and this year we are expanding on the success of last year's events and offering even more opportunities for our students. We are working with some wonderful employers, alumni, Careers experts and academic staff to offer an inspiring programme of talks and activities.
Some highlights - with more to be added:
- 1:1 CV & Portfolio clinics with Hackajob, TT Games, alumni and others
- Alumni panels for different programmes, including alumni from Splash Damage, Warner Music and 3RDi
- Industry talks and panels from Meta/Facebook, Splash Damage, Digital Catapult (Immersive), Hackajob, Electronic Arts, Gradcracker, Ricebox and Sony
- Career planning sessions from our Careers Service and Synapse, including some sessions specifically for 1st years
This year our structure will be as follows:
- Monday & Tuesday - talks, panels and activities for postgraduate students
- Wednesday - CV & Portfolio clinics
- Thursday & Friday -talks, panels and activities for undergraduate students
Some talks will be relevant to all students, so we recommend you attend as many as you can. Please note that the timetable is subject to change and more workshops are likely to be announced at a later stage!
