Event overview
Ryan Morgan and Hannah McLoughlin of MMus Creative Practice present an evening of new compositional and improvisatory works.
Max/MSP and percussion. Ensemble improvisations, extended vocal techniques, performance art, atonal duets and ambient tape loops are interwoven in this varied evening of experimental music.
Ryan Morgan is primarily a vocal and studio composer, who currently explores the ideas of artification of the everyday, with a focus on everyday vocalisations and utterances. He is a classically trained singer, who’s practice branches into extended vocal techniques, movement and physicality, and technology, influenced by Meredith Monk, Roy Hart and Pamela Z.
Hannah McLoughiln is a flautist, improvisor and experimental composer. Hannah works with tape machines, ensemble improvisations and electro-acoustic experimentation to create uniquely surreal sound worlds. She regularly collaborates with filmmakers and visual artists, composing original scores and soundscapes.
