Dreamy Evolution - An Experience of the Heart, Mind & Soul
Following our undergraduate and departmental PureGold festival, it’s now the turn of our postgrad students! MMus Popular Music students perform sets live from the Albany.
After the PureGold livestream launch on 20 May and our festival of degree shows (all still available on YouTube [https://www.youtube.com/GoldsmithsMusic]) students on the MMus in Popular Music perform sets of new and original work, which will also be live-streamed via YouTube.
Acts are 45 minutes long with shows at 7.30pm, 8.30pm and 9.30pm: featuring Vanda Essay, Nathan Stark and Mimah.
7.45pm - Vanda Essay (Vanda Hehr) is a London-based, Berlin-raised singer and composer. Vanda Essay creates soulful and groovy pop music, sprinkled with jazz, electronic and funk.
For Vanda, the stage felt like a safe space from early on. Vanda Essays' new set depicts a story of taking up space and reclaiming one's own life after surviving trauma. Influenced by Classical and Jazz, the music comes to life in a pop-orchestral setting, especially arranged for the Albany.
