Event overview
The Practice Research Symposium will be a space to discuss the challenges and opportunities of doing practice research with colleagues from inside and outside Goldsmiths
The Practice Research Symposium is open to all and provides a platform to discuss experiences in practice research as well as to meet other practice researchers.
We will have three sessions: one panel featuring practitioners from a range of disciplines (Scott McLaughlin, Ali Eisa and Esther Sayers from Music, Art, and Education respectively) speaking about their experiences as practice researchers (1.30-2.45); a presentation by Jonny Freeman and i2 Media focused around impact and practice research (3-4pm); and a final 'meet and greet' session where we can compare notes, build relationships and plan for future events across the College in 23-24 (4-5pm).
The event is free and open to all with no booking required, and is organised by the A&H and PSST Practice Research Groups, in collaboration with Research & Knowledge Exchange.
The event begins with nibbles and drinks at 1pm, and concludes at 5pm.
