In his final degree show, MMus (Performance and Related Studies) student Cameron Spowart performs two works for solo piano.
Franz Liszt - Ave Maria (Harmonies poétiques et religieuses No.2) S.173
Franz Schubert - Sonata Bb Major D.960
Cameron will be performing Schubert’s final piano sonata, written within a few months of his death. This sonata is a journey through Schubert’s deep and matured emotions. His genius demonstrates his understanding of approaching death, yet hope and even excitement of what is to come. To prelude this, he will perform Liszt’s transcription of his own choral work, 'Ave Maria'.
Our MMus shows on the Goldsmiths campus are free and open to all.
VENUE: Deptford Town Hall Council Chamber, New Cross Road, London SE14 6AF.
