Event overview
It’s a tradition at Goldsmiths that all students in the Department begin the academic year with a week of intensive performance activities - join us in the Great Hall - DOORS 5.30pm
After the pandemic, we've had 2 triumphant returns to our Music Week activities, and we thought that it was too good to not repeat the same format, so join us from 5.30pm in the Great Hall for this one-day festival featuring students on the BMus Music and BMus Popular Music programmes.
This will be a "promenade" style event, with small groups performing short sets to give you a chance to grab a beer from your drinks emporium of choice in-between sets. A schedule will be posted in the Great Hall, so you can see your favourites (and find new faves!)
Featuring:
Sets from 1st and 2nd year BMus Popular Music students performing original songs
Jazz Ensemble
Sinfonietta
Vocal Ensemble
Laptop Ensemble
Contemporary Music Ensemble
plus 3rd year BMus Popular Music students recording studio projects with NX Records including a live radio show,
and MORE - who knows what the wonders of Music Week will throw into the mix!
We will also live-stream this event on our YouTube channel.
This event is free and open to all, no need to book - bring your own drinks and snacks and listen to an evening of music across the genres.
