Featuring performances from our departmental ensembles that have been running this term
Join us for an informal concert, featuring performances from the Sinfonietta, conducted by Roger Redgate, with music by Albinoni (with oboe soloist Iona Mitchell), Carla Bley and Charles Ives; Goldsmiths Improvisors Collective with artistic direction from Iris Garrelfs, the piece will feature all manners of instruments / technologies / voices / crisp packets; The Vocal Ensemble, directed by Brenda Rattray, with new pieces and visuals, The Laptop Ensemble, directed by Jenn Kirby, and the Contemporary Music Ensemble directed by Mira Benjamin will perform Christian Wolff’s 'Burdocks' and Scott McLaughlin's ‘surfaces of emergence’ for electric guitars.
Bring your own drinks and enjoy this varied evening of music making, featuring pieces the students have worked on this term.
Free and open to all.
