On 21st February 2024, Goldsmiths Confucius Institute for Dance and Performance will host its annual Chinese New Year Celebrations in Richard Hoggart Building's Great Hall at Goldsmiths, University of London.
This year we will welcome the Year of the Wood Dragon with another evening of exciting performances, interactive stalls, delicious food and fantastic company. This year's gala will also include a special exhibition, China: A Consolidated History, which will showcase artworks in a variety of forms that embody China's long and illustrious history, including photographic work of the pioneer of photojournalism, John Thomson, undertaken during his visit to China in the Qing dynasty.
The event welcomes both the general public and Goldsmiths Students and Staff to join in the celebrations.
