In Conversation with Jason Arday Webinar

This online event will host Jason Arday, Professor of Sociology of Education at University of Cambridge, who will talk about his views on the significance of Neurodiversity Celebration Week and personal experience of Neurodiversity, especially in the field of Higher Education.

About:
Jason Arday is a pioneering scholar in race, inequality, and education, focused on increasing the representation of Black, Asian, and Minority Ethnic individuals in higher education. At age 37, he became the youngest Black person appointed to a professorship at the University of Cambridge, where he aims to inspire underrepresented groups to pursue higher education. Overcoming personal challenges, including being diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder at three, Jason defied expectations and pursued academia, fulfilling a childhood goal of working at prestigious institutions like Oxford or Cambridge.
