Event overview
Join us at this year’s Open Day to tell us what you’d like to see at our forthcoming series of seasonal late events at Nunhead Cemetery.
Visit the Goldsmiths stall at the Nunhead Cemetery Open Day to share your thoughts on what you’d like the events to look like. We welcome you to vote for your preferred themes and formats and share your suggestions via comments cards. Stop by to share your ideas and connect with us!
The stall will also feature archive items related to Victorian ideas of death and mourning. Join us to learn about the local history of the Brockley Chapel and Manor Park Garden with Senior Lecturer John Price and play ‘guess the item’.
Goldsmiths are partnering with Nunhead Cemetery, as part of their East Lodge restoration project, to establish the historic site as a place for teaching and learning. Alongside public late events themed around the seasons, the partnership will include volunteering and placement opportunities.
Nunhead Open Day is set to be an afternoon of fun activities and attractions including: choir and dance performances, nature trails, crypt tours, wood crafting, a children’s bug hunt and more!
