Event overview
Exhibition taking a visual path through the history of Goldsmiths' Centre for Urban and Community Research
The Centre for Urban and Community Research is one of the longest standing research centres at Goldsmiths. Founded in the Sociology Department in 1994, the Centre’s mission promised to ‘encourage, develop and support multidisciplinary research upon all aspects of economic, social and cultural life in cities and communities, with the aim of promoting excellence in research and developing basic social scientific understanding.’
This exhibition takes a visual path through CUCR’s 30 year history. It showcases work from staff, students and alumni, exploring the resonances and dialogue between research at CUCR and student work. particularly work emerging from the Photography and Urban Cultures MA.
