This free course is offered to all students, staff and the general public
This is a free Breathworks Mindfulness for Stress course, which follows the Breathworks' curriculum. Dr Francis Gilbert will run the course as a hybrid course, either in person (see details below) or online. The course will be held in person in the Margaret McMillan Building at Goldsmiths on Tuesdays 6pm-8pm (except for the first session which is 30 mins longer) beginning on the 22nd October:
Session 1: Tuesday 29th October 6pm-8pm
Session 2: Tuesday 5th November 6pm-8pm
Session 3: Tuesday 12th November 6pm-8pm
Session 4: Tuesday 19th November 6pm-8pm
Session 5: Tuesday 26th November 6pm-8pm
Session 6: Tuesday 3rd December 6pm-8pm
Session 7: Tuesday 10th December 6pm-8pm
Session 8: Tuesday 17th December 6pm-8pm
This course has a strong reputation and has been running for many years very successfully. Francis, the course leader, is leading it without charge because he is completing his training to become an accredited Breathworks mindfulness teacher.
You can attend online or in person, or a mixture of both.
Many people have found the course to be transformational.

The course perceives happiness as a skill to be acquired with practice. This is, in part, what the ancient practice of mindfulness teaches, and what modern psychology research has shown. The wonderful thing is that this skill, just like driving or dancing, can be learned, and it can stay with you for a lifetime.
At the end of this 8-week course you will have a foundation in the skills of mindfulness, compassion, and meditation, and know how to apply them in your life in a way that really makes a difference.
