Event overview
A taster session of the Living Everyday Multilingualism module part of the MA Social Justice in Education programme at Goldsmiths, University of London.
Do we see all students? Do we hear all their voices?
This taster session will discuss the relationship between social justice, language, and multilingualism in education. Multilingualism and Intercultural Communication expert Dr Cristina Ros i Sole will present an approach to language that sees multilingualism in education as a resource (rather than as a barrier). She will address two key questions: Are the languages, cultures, and knowledges that our students bring to our educational spaces seen, heard, and valued? And what actions can we take to include cultural diversity and an intercultural lens to our practice?
After the talk, there will be an opportunity to learn more about the MA Social Justice in Education at Goldsmiths.
