Explore the evolving intersections between Chinese/ESEA cultural roots and contemporary music
Following the success of last year’s 大音希声 – Great Sounds Seek Silence sonic and visual art exhibition, Goldsmiths Confucius Institute for Dance and Performance is excited to announce the upcoming「in律」CONTEMPERAMENT Music Festival that will happen from 15 - 17 November.
We invited musicians and artists in London and across the globe to participate in a celebration of new temperaments, to restructure and re-tune the intersection between heritage and modernity, East and West, sound and silence.
This festival is an exploration of how Chinese and East/Southeast Asian cultural roots can be reinterpreted and transformed through compositions, performances, and multi-media works, as well as how artists from these backgrounds are redefining their identities and practices in a rapidly changing cultural landscape.
We‘re thrilled to share the full program schedule, featuring an incredible lineup spread across three days of immersive music, art, and creative experiences.
