Professor Vikki Bell (Sociology) introduces Graciela Sacco, visual artist, photographer, video and installation artist from Argentina.
Graciela Sacco’s work uses different photosensitive processes, allowing her to materialize concepts in a unique way, placing her at the forefront of contemporary art. Working in several different modes (mail art, installation, street interventions), Sacco's work evokes processes of movement, migration, loss, memory, survival and struggle.
Sacco has represented Argentina at severals Biennales and her work is included in major exhibitions in museums and galleries around the world. She is currently showing new work in Spain and Switzerland. For many years Sacco was a Professor of 20th Century Latin American Art at the University of Rosario in Argentina.
