Event overview
Z32 (80mins) is a feature-length musical documentary tragedy about an Israeli ex-soldier who testifies to the camera about participating in covert Palestinian revenge operations. Meanwhile, the filmmaker who keeps looking for ways to conceal the soldier's identity, questions his own political and artistic conduct. Please note that the film will be screened in full.
AVI MOGRABI is a film maker and video artist. Mograbi's politically engaging films have participated in leading film festivals world-wide, including Cannes, Berlin, Venice and New York film festivals and won several prizes, including the Peace Film Award - Berlin; Best Film Award – Sao Paulo; Michael Moore Award for best documentary – Ann Arbor; Gran Premio del Festival de Cine de Bilbao; Aprile Award - Milano; and the Israeli Film Institute Award for Best Documentary.
NOAM ENBAR is an artist and musician. He is the lead singer and founder of the Israeli radical rock band Habiluim. He has written music for prize winning theater pieces and for a number of internationally acclaimed films. He has written the music for Z32. Enbar is currently studying in the MFA Art Practice programme at Goldsmiths.
