Event overview
Kinraid, a new musical based on 'Sylvia's Lovers' by Elizabeth Gaskell, will be showcased at the George Wood Theatre, Goldsmiths College, on September 23rd and 25th 2009, at 7pm.
The new musical called Kinraid, with book, music and lyrics by Eleanor Agius, uses energetic theatrical folk music to tell the story of Sylvia Robson, a young girl in search of romance and loved by two very different men – the bold sailor Charley Kinraid and the cautious and conventional Philip Hepburn.
Act One of Kinraid will be performed for the first time as a semi-staged concert performance.
