Interdisciplinary Postgraduate Colloquium
The Sociology of Theatre and Performance Research Group at Goldsmiths would like to personally invite to you attend their fourth interdisciplinary colloquium, Bodies and Socio-Histories. Organised entirely by and for postgraduates, Bodies and Socio-Histories will explore the relationship between physical practice and historical narrative.
Over the course of this two-day event, postgraduate students working in all fields across the UK will have the opportunity to meet, exchange ideas and present their research in a formal conference setting. The event programme will include research presentations from emerging scholars, as well as student-led panel and round table sessions.
On the Friday evening Bodies and Socio-Histories will also be presenting a performance from practice-based research students. The performance will take place within the George Wood Theatre at Goldsmiths and is followed by a discussion with the artists. The event will close on Saturday evening with a festive celebration, where presenters and audience members alike will be able to kick back and relax over a meal and a glass of wine after two days of academic and artistic stimulation.
