PureGold - PhD Performance Showcase: Alejandro Toledo (saxophones) will be giving a recital based on his research of Romanian Roma (Gypsy) performance practices.
After graduating from McGill University (Montreal, Canada) in Classical saxophone performance in 2005, Alejandro travelled to Romania to study Roma (Gypsy) saxophone. The transitions of performing Classical music to Roma music is one of the main topics of his research.
Vodka will be provided!
