Goldsmiths Music Department has been presenting final year work at the Albany since 2003. Graduates, who have graced the Albany stage, include one Mercury Music Prize nominee, two recently signed & en vogue artists (Katy B and James Blake), artists & musicians who have worked with Amy Winehouse & Tom Jones, supported Paloma Faith & Joan Armatrading, sung lead vocals for Zero 7, worked with Matthew Herbert & Accidental Records (amongst others).
This June the Albany, with Artist-in-residence Arun Ghost and singer-songwriter Eska Mtungwasi (Ty, Cinematic Orchestra, Zero 7, Matthew Herbert Big Band) will collaborate with an exceptional group of current and ex-Goldsmiths students (with special guests) to create a spectacular evening of cutting-edge new music.
