As part of the Department of Music’s “Music Week” of intensive rehearsals, the Sinfonia and Chorus present an evening concert of Russian music, conducted by Alexander Ivashkin, and Tim Hooper, Chorus Master.

Edison Denisov: Clarinet Concerto, with Tim Phillips (clarinet soloist) (UK premiere)
Rossini: William Tell Overture
Prokofiev: Prosper, Our Mighty Land (UK Premiere)
Shostakovich: Symphony No 6
and unaccompanied Russian choral works
