Event overview
Goldsmiths anthropology writing-up students are organising a one day workshop that considers the theme of “work” in original and new ways. We are bringing together a range of papers that look at categories not traditionally considered work. We explore how recent developments in world economies open up new understandings of work, professionalism and expertise, what the moral logics behind shaping particular kinds of workers are and how the bodily and temporal experience of work can be explored in new ways. Papers are organised around small panels, each with a discussant, and Professor Keith Hart will give closing remarks at the end of the day.
All welcome to attend.
