Nowruz (New Year) will be celebrated on the Spring Equinox.
Organised by Goldsmiths' Afghanistan Music Unit (Prof. John Baily, Head of AMU) and the Afghanistan and Central Asia Association in New Cross (Dr Nooralhaq Nasimi, Head of ACAA), there will be music, speeches from members of the community, poetry from Afghan supplementary school students, food, entertainments and opportunities for networking.
The day includes the highlight of the celebration - the Nowruz tradition of displaying "Haft Sun or the seven 'S's".
from 4pm onwards!
