Event overview
Fourth Visual Cultures public forum.
As a field 'Visual Culture' has little conventional definition, however as a set of possibilities it has facilitated a reach into numerous bodies of ideas and practices that has significantly changed the terrain of how the expanded field of art is operating in the world. Far beyond notions of 'interdisciplinarity' we have seen touch and challenge and transform one another far beyond preoccupations with the boundaries of academic disciplines. How would we sketch out such processes that embrace a re-understanding of public, of space, of action, of audience, of institution, of affect and of practice?
