PureGold: Goldsmiths Music Presents an evening concert of Gamelan Degung music, directed by Barley Norton.
The Goldsmiths Gamelan Group will perform traditional and popular pieces on the Sundanese gamelan degung orchestra from West Java. The concert will also include performances of enchanting zither and flute (kacapi suling) music, with Jasmine Hornabrook on 'suling' bamboo flute accompanied by Barley Norton and Simon Cook on 'kacapi' zithers.
All welcome, no need to book.
This event is part of the Department of Music's annual PureGold Music festival.
