Event overview
UNVORSUM by DIRTY TABLE COLLECTIVE
Society is predominantly preoccupied with realms of space that can be seen, touched or systematically rationalised. So much so that we tend to, unconsciously or otherwise, ignore the phenomenological and forget the unknown universe. The Artists' exploration is concerned with making the invisible visible, through altering perceptions of the mundane with abstractions of the everyday. The installation exhibits the way in which matter is fashioned and perceived, stimulating an extra-ordinary experience, offering an interactive glimpse of transcendent realms and the more infinite nature of space and consciousness.
DIRTY TABLE COLLECTIVE is: Kate Elliott, Harri Vallack, Cherie Saunders.
Performance: 12:45 - 14:45 (audience admission ends at 14:15)
16:45 - 18:45 (audience admission ends at 18:15)

AFTER MUSIC / BEFORE SILENCE by ONION LULLABY
Onion Lullaby creates a multi-layered visual landscape exploring ideas of collective and personal memories and nostalgia. Where are our memories stored? In our hearts and minds? Or perhaps, in the space between the two? This piece is an attempt to capture and recreate the poetic intimacy and timelessness of these spaces. The longer we hold on to our memories the stronger and stranger they grow. After Music / Before Silence draws inspiration from personal memories, Frida Kahlo's paintings, and the poetic magical realism of Pablo Neruda, fusing them into a poignant immersive living installation.
ONION LULLABY is: Holly Gould, Irina Shengelia, William Adams,
Octavio Alvidrez, Sarah Kidney.
Performance: 12:00 - 12:45, 16:00 - 16:45, 19:15 - 20:00

A PLACE TO BE by A.D.N.Y.
Where can we find comfort in the cacophony of the urban landscape? Why is it that we cocoon ourselves with technology and information, and what happens when we allow the outside world in? Why do we feel so unwelcome? This piece creates a space that allows participants to take a step back, from the rush of 21st Century life, to stop for a moment and truly appreciate the beauty contained in the banality of the everyday. A Place To Be.
A.D.N.Y is: Andy Williamson

A GIRL IN A SWIMSUIT IS CRYING by ÁINE RYAN
A Girl In A Swimsuit Is Crying, is inspired by memories growing up in an environment prone to flooding and fuses the literal flooding of a physical space with the metaphysical flooding of the mind. The piece explores parallels between the potent muscle of the natural world and equally destructive psychosomatic attributes of humans, examining via pathetic fallacy what happens when the deluge in psyche and natural topography collide.
Performance: 15:15 - 16:00
Limited tickets available, to make a reservation for this performance please email: dr001hg@gold.ac.uk
