including Sonic Shorts, from students on the Music Computing course
As part of the Department of Music’s “Music Week” of intensive rehearsals, the Sinfonia and Chorus present an evening concert of music inspired by London, conducted by Tim Hooper and Ian Gardiner. Including Vaughan Williams “Toward the Unknown Region”, Grainger “In a Nutshell” Suite, Gustav Holst "Hammersmith" and a London piece by Ian Gardiner, plus and “Oranges and Lemons” from Street Songs by Steve Martland for Choir and Marimba.
Music Computing students will be involved during Music Week, creating Sonic Shorts, which will be interweaved between the orchestral and choir pieces, following on from a Sound Walk with John Drever.
