Event overview
Julio Etchart is a documentary photographer, photojournalist and web reporter. He is a co-founder of Reportage Photos and Panos Pictures distribute his photographs and stories in the United Kingdom.
This seminar will explore connections between Etchart’s photographic archive, collective memory, political participation, human rights, contemporary urban materialities, locations and visual cultures in South America. The seminar will be chaired by David Kendall (Centre for Urban and Community Research / Fotosynthesis) and speakers include Julio Etchart, Naomi Westland (Amnesty International), Ingrid Guyon and Gonzalo Felipe Garrido Luengo (Fotosynthesis).
