The New Interfaces for Musical Expression 14th Annual Conference: 1st July - 4th July
NIME (New Interfaces for Musical Expression) is the premier conference in designing human-computer interfaces and interactions for musical performance. NIME gathers researchers and practitioners around lectures, installations, concerts, and workshops.
We are delighted to host NIME at Goldsmiths, bringing NIME to the UK for the first time and taking advantage of the rich London music scene, and art, interaction design and maker communities.
As well as 4 days of scientific proceedings, NIME 2014 boasts an ambitious concert and installation programme, BEAM@NIME, lots of which is open to the public, featuring sound installations in the Weston Atrium of the NAB, concerts on campus, and clubnights in high profile venues such as XOYO and Corsica Studios.
NIME will also host an free OPEN DAY on Friday 4th which will include a Hackday, an Open Jack Concert, Panel discussions and much more.
