Event overview
A workshop to discuss the challenges facing early career researchers in fields including gambling, alcohol, tobacco and sex
A British Academy sponsored early career regional event
Goldsmiths is hosting a British Academy early-career researcher symposium on July 11th, running from 9.45am to 5pm. Everyone studying and working in areas of ‘dangerous consumption’ (alcohol, tobacco, drugs, sex work, gambling) is very welcome. The purpose of the event is to come together to share our research and to discuss common challenges and opportunities including the nature of evidence, conflicts of interest, funding and ethical codes. Lunch will be provided and there will be plenty of time for discussion and networking throughout the day.
Financial assistance will be made available to those who need it on a first come, first served basis.
Participation is free, but places are limited, so please book as soon as possible by emailing sam.kelly@gold.ac.uk
