Event overview
As part of the Department of Music’s “Music Week” of creative rehearsals, students on the BMus in Popular Music programme showcase their work.
As part of the intensive week of creative rehearsals for Music Week, all 3 years of the BMus in Popular Music course perform new devised works.
1st and 2nd year students will perform on the front entrance steps outside RHB (Main Building) from 6pm, whilst 3rd year performances involve installations and multimedia works throughout the ground floor of the church from 3pm - 6pm.
With creative stimulus and direction from Jill Halstead (who created the BMus in Popular Music back in 2004), the popular music staff team, assisted by some of the programme's celebrated alumni, we will be creating brand new works, being shown on Saturday 4th October: installation and site-specific work in St. James' Church (3rd years) from 3-6pm and live, open air performances, at the new Goldsmiths main entrance from 6-9pm (1st and 2nd years); there will also be the first public playing of an EP made by final year students in the Goldsmiths Studios.
All welcome
