The Asian Music Unit (Director: Dr Barley Norton) in the Department of Music at Goldsmiths, University of London and The Musicology Unit, Osaka University jointly present: Special Research Forums at Goldsmiths, with papers and training sessions.
As a sequel to the successful international symposium ‘Safeguarding the Intangible: Cross-Cultural Perspectives on Music and Heritage’ held in February 2014, the Music Department, Goldsmiths and the Musicology Unit of Osaka University, Japan will hold collaborative research forums. The event will consist of the following sessions and all will be open to the public (Admission free). However, please e-mail the organizer in advance to secure your seat.
Tuesday 17 February 2015:
Music Research Series Paper Presentation: 'Nationalism, Folklorism and Exoticism in Modern Japan', presented by Professor Nobuhiro Ito, Professor Yusuke Wajima and Dr Kei Saito, Osaka University.

PG Students Training Day
Training sessions given by: Anthony Pryer/ Dr Tom Perchard (Director of PG Research)/Dr Naomi Matsumoto (International Admissions Tutor), the Music Dept, Goldsmiths
