Alissa Firsova returns to the Deptford Town Hall to showcase two of Rachmaninov's most ambitious works for the piano along with compositions written specifically for her by parents, Dmitri Smirnov and Elena Firsova. Later this month, Alissa records these works for her debut CD to be released in August.

Dmitri Smirnov: "Blake" Sonata No. 6 Op. 157
E. Firsova: "For Alissa" Op. 102
Rachmaninov: Sonata No. 2 "Original Version" Op. 36
Hosted by the Department of Music at Goldsmiths, this series of concerts by professional musicians and students takes place in the grand surroundings of Deptford Town Hall, on the Steinway Model D concert piano.
The performance is open to all staff and students at Goldsmiths, as well as members of the public.
