Event overview
'THE EXOTIC EXPERIMENT: interactive climatic art project for astronauts'
Music Research Series and the Unit for Sound Practice Research presents: Ludwig on 'THE EXOTIC EXPERIMENT: interactive climatic art project for astronauts'.
Artist and doctoral researcher at LLA-CREATIS / University of Toulouse, Ludwig is launching a cross-disciplinary art & research programme destined to develop:
. an augmented life in space for astronauts engaged in future deep-space missions
. an augmented life on the planet
. unexpected interactions
His current projects are nomadic and will deploy from a Mars simulation base in the Utah desert, a camp in Greenland, through a global network of experimental sites - under water test beds, remote forests and islands, branches of the web, as well as through places where the aesthetic experience can arise unexpectedly.
With 'THE EXOTIC EXPERIMENT', invitation and surprise become the materials of an extended project in space, which will produce a series of time-capusules, exo-environments and exo-climatic situations to develop new Earth-Space interactions.
