Event overview
Goldsmiths Reunite is a series of global alumni events celebrating the Goldsmiths alumni community. For one week in May, Alumni Ambassadors will also be hosting their own events around the world!
Goldsmiths Reunite is a series of global alumni events launched in Athens in April 2014. Each event celebrates the Goldsmiths alumni community which consists of more than 50,000 former students based all over the world.
To coincide with each event, we also launched the Alumni Ambassador Programme to establish new ways of staying in touch with alumni based on all sides of the globe. For one week in May, our Alumni Ambassadors will be hosting their own series of events around the world including exhibitions, screenings, talks and even a cruise! We are calling this special week of alumni-led events: Around The World In Seven Days.
Our Warden, Patrick Loughrey, will be hosting the first alumni event Goldsmiths has ever held in Tokyo, Japan. Caroline Knowles, Professor of Sociology at Goldsmiths, will be discussing the flip-flop trail – the territory across which a pair of flip-flops travel during their lifetime.
Her talk will be followed by a drinks reception and an opportunity to meet fellow Goldsmiths alumni based in Japan.
