Ros Barber’s critically-acclaimed debut novel The Marlowe Papers was winner of the 2013 Desmond Elliott Prize, joint winner of the Author’s Club Best First Novel Award and long-listed for the Bailey’s Prize for Fiction. Her two collections of poetry with Anvil include Material, a Poetry Book Society recommendation. Her poems have appeared in numerous anthologies including Faber’s Poems of the Decade (2012), now an ‘A’ Level set text. She teaches Creative and Life Writing at Goldsmiths. Her second novel, Devotion (2015), is in prose.
