Franco "Bifo" Berardi will be discussing his views on the future of the global economy and the opportunities that such a 'perfect storm' may offer.

“We're entering the most perfect storm ever. Not a new edition of the 2008 financial collapse, but a full fledged running on empty of the global economy. Massive unemployment and robot invasion, over production crisis. Is it not the best condition for starting a process of emancipation from work? Is it not the best opportunity for full automation and basic income and dramatic reduction of work time? This is why we need a platform, a technical platform, not a political one.”

Franco "Bifo" Berardi is an Italian Marxist theorist and activist in the autonomist tradition, whose work mainly focuses on the role of the media and information technology within post-industrial capitalism.
