Event overview
Devil Is In The Detail Theatre present 'I Was Born For This' where modern activists meet Joan of Arc...
As part of the Community Theatre Module at Goldsmiths, Devil Is In The Detail Theatre presents a show which mixes text from the Joan of Arc heresy trials with text from interviews of activists who worked with refugees in the Calais Jungle.
In response to this material, the performance shall also be used to fundraise for Doctors Without Borders (http://www.msf.org.uk/) who are helping refugees both in Calais and around the world. There will be a post show discussions after both performances where audience members and speakers can discuss the issues that are raised.
Speaking at these events will be Chris Sonnex and Fennella Dawnay from Good Chance Theatre, who were previously working in the refugee camp in Calais (http://goodchance.org.uk/).
Please come, watch, donate and participate in the discussions. We would all really appreciate your presence and your insight! It is £3 suggested donation or pay what you can. https://www.facebook.com/events/566064160235885/
